Help! The Future of the Wannabe Writers

Hello blogger friends. I really need your help. Lately, my weekly meme--Wannabe Writers--has been losing it's following. I need to spice it up a bit. Bring it back to life. Even I'm starting to dread writing it each week. So at this point, I am open to any and all suggestions. (From a few small tweaks to a whole new makeover.) How can I change it to make it better? Ideas? I'm not ready to give up this meme just yet. There really are very few other weekly meme's for writers out there. Help! Comment below or email me at curlgurl2007(at)gmail.com. Thanks!

Hrm. I'm afraid I've never been all that great keeping up on memes and most of the ones I've started or been part of have eventually lost following, with a rare few book-related ones. I'm not sure how to spice it up, though it's possible the following loss might just be the time of year? Everyone's out getting there last vacation before school starts? Or perhaps if some of the followers are in school, they might be starting soon, which will change their blogging habits?

Sorry I can't be of more help. :/

Hi, I've just come across this meme and think it's fantastic. I'll be hopefully joining in on the next one that you have. I also have a project currently in process on my blog called Once Upon a Time in which anyone can submit a story to win a prize and be placed in a book I will publish..

Keep doing what your doing.. maybe an idea could be to post up a pic and see what ideas others come up with, maybe even send you in a story about that picture, than you could post it up for the next week. Like the Readers on Deadline over at Deadline Dames. Just a thought though :)

I wish I had some ideas, but I'm sort of in a rut myself with my blog. I'm hopong that it's just a summertime lull as we all have so much to do during these months.

I think it's probably just the summer, I know that's why I've missed several times.

I know that I (and a couple of others) do this, but maybe have everyone answer your question on your blog and then ask their own question on their own? Then every blog we see has a different question to think about.

Just my 2 cents!

I just stumbled on the meme and joined in a few times in the past month or so, but maybe it's just the time of year. More people out and about. I'll try to think of anything to throw in there, but right now I just got back from vacation and my mind is frazzled, lol But please don't drop it just yet!

Witless--That's a good idea. I think I'm going to try to do that.

Everyone else--I guess I just more time over the summer. I didn't really think about everyone else being busy.

Also I'm running out of ideas for writing questions. If you have any ideas for future questions. Let me know.

From one who doesn't even know what a meme is.... I think it might be summer (like Mary said), or it might be burnout, that you have too much going on and don't have enough passion for your other blog. That can easily happen once we get going on all this social media, it can easily become too much then something has to give.

Hmm... you could try doing it on a different day of the week? A lot of people don't blog on Saturdays.

I have been bad with this meme! I am not good at keeping up with it! Maybe you could do some of the topics again because sometimes opinions change. I also agree with the blogger above if you did it on a different day that could draw from a different crowd!
