Other than that, I mostly forget the story and what has happened. Then when I do write I'm extremely happy because I'm lost in the world I've created. But then fear sneaks in and I procrastinate. :(Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10426182171849519693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557330505101892876.post-88695177377792008002010-09-29T08:53:08.706-04:002010-09-29T08:53:08.706-04:00I've taken some month-long breaks from writing...I've taken some month-long breaks from writing. While I don't *like* it, I think sometimes it's good to give me a break and give me some perspective on my project. I end up going back refreshed, my work seems new again, and I can see what's not working now that I've got some distance. Remember, not all writing is what's done on your computer or on paper. Even when I'm not writing, I'm thinking about my characters, their motivations, the story, what's going to happen, etc. :)Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14263897351215100419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557330505101892876.post-89767123320296561482010-09-27T12:35:18.324-04:002010-09-27T12:35:18.324-04:00It seems I am taking a break now from my current W...It seems I am taking a break now from my current WIP. I think my problem is motivation and time restraints. I am not sure if they are healthy, but I'd like to think so.Miranda Hardyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17880449368013410349noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557330505101892876.post-48572760779470128592010-09-26T19:33:04.728-04:002010-09-26T19:33:04.728-04:00I take breaks from writing from time to time. If you write a lot everyday just to be writing, that doesn't necessarily mean you're writing what you want to write. Sure, you got something done, but it is really what you want? I think breaks from writing are good ways for you to capture in your mind what's going to happen. But when you think of it, you better write it down, don't let the moment pass! :)LuxeCouturehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13890124602246279225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557330505101892876.post-56798263223266529372010-09-25T15:35:15.248-04:002010-09-25T15:35:15.248-04:00I've taken long breaks from writing. Sometimes when I try to force it, I get blocked and can't write...it's like my brain is sayinh, "You need a break & if you won't take it, I'll take it for you." If I need a break and take it, I always come back with a fresh outlook and my writing doesn't pay.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04135321683287094579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6557330505101892876.post-81680540289841461042010-09-25T07:19:59.945-04:002010-09-25T07:19:59.945-04:00I may take any where from a few days off, to a wee...I may take any where from a few days off, to a week, or so.

Only once did I quit writing for about 4 years to take up crafts.

I missed writing. Got back into it, and never looked back. Nothing gives me as much pleasure as when I get a scene, chapter, or whole book done.Lorelei Bellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03294047277447613989noreply@blogger.com
