In My Mailbox #11

This is "In my mailbox" a meme run by The Siren Story (http://www.thestorysiren.com/) Every week I will post the books I checked out from the Library. Here is what I got this week....

Deadly Little Secret by Laurie Faria Stolarz
Until three months ago, everything in sixteen-year-old Camelia’s life had been fairly ordinary: decent grades, an okay relationship with her parents, and a pretty cool part-time job at the art studio downtown. But when a mysterious boy named Ben starts junior year at her high school, Camelia’s life becomes anything but ordinary. Rumored to be somehow responsible for his ex-girlfriend’s accidental death, Ben is immediately ostracized by everyone on campus. Except for Camelia. She’s reluctant to believe he's trouble, even when her friends try to convince her otherwise. Instead, she’s inexplicably drawn to Ben…and to his touch. But soon, Camelia is receiving eerie phone calls and strange packages with threatening notes. Ben insists she is in danger, and that he can help—but can he be trusted? She knows he's hiding something... but he's not the only one with a secret.

I'm such an idiot and accidentally checked out Deadly Little Lies (the sequel to this novel) first and started reading that not knowing this came first. So I know exactly everything that's going to happen. Is it still worth reading?

Word Count (Day 9): 6,020/50,000

I think the first is always worth reading. You may know what happens, but not the nuances and small details.

Have fun with it!

I actually didn't know that this was the first book, so it's a good thing I read this before I picked up Deadly Little Lies. Happy reading!

I've done that before and it hasn't hindered my enjoyment.

I need to start posting my library books but I always get so many and don't read them that fast.

I have recently been doing reviews though on the books I've read.
