Coming Soon!
Along with summer I am going to be hosting another 50K in 50days writing challenge. (Click here to read about the last challenge!) YAY! Last time I did the 50/50 challenge because I was putting too much pressure on myself and this time around I'm not putting enough. I've been lazy. Hardly writing each week. Not anymore! This challenge is designed to get me serious about wanting to be published again because isn't that the ultimate goal for the Un-Published?So here's the plan. I'm going to drop everything--well, there's not much to drop this time since I'm on summer vacation--but like I said before, everything. I'm just going to spend 50 days writing. My goal will be 1,000 words per day. NO MORE NO LESS. And no matter how crappy those 1,000 words are I will write the next 1,000--without editing--the next day. (Easier said than done, but we're at least going to give it our all here people!)
I am going to start the challenge on JULY 12 (a Monday) and end AUGUST 31 (a Tuesday). The goal is to have 50K of a novel finished by Aug. 31 no matter how horribly bad that 50k is. Last go around I only make it to about 15k. So I have some serious work in front of me. But I do want to give a special shout out to J. Kaye, her hard work and dedication gives me hope that perhaps this time around I'll be able to finish too.
There. Problem Solved.
Anyone want to join me?

I think I might join you! I was thinking about doing a NaNo-type thing this summer. I'll get back to you for sure after my vacation - I'm going to see if I can do some plotting & such on the beach.
I am with you Sarah! It will be a good time for me to start in on my 2nd book. I should be done editing the first by then.
Great challenge! I gave myself a fake deadline of August 10th or I'd be jumping in for this one.
I'm in! I've just started blogging, but I've been writing forever! ;-) I have a personal goal of a finished manuscript of September 1st, so this challenge will help with the writing!
I love your rating guide, BTW!
I would love to do this, and plan on doing it!!!!
I think i will be on vacation during that date but I will start over vacation then come and join you!
Check my blog I have an award for you!
Yay guys!!! I'm excited people will be joining me! :)
I'm in. I need the incentive to finish this darn first draft of wip3.
I'm SO in! It sounds exactly like the insentive I need to finish my novel.
I'm going to give it a go. Not sure I'll make it, but I do need a kick in the pants.
I love these type of challenges. Except for NaNo I always see them too late, but, hey, this time I found out in time to register. I'm going to start my second novel during this challenge, so this will certainly be gold for moi..:) Thank you...
I'll have a go! I've got nothing to lose, right?
I'm going to try again.
I signed up with you last time and seriously failed. But after reading about J Kayes success and hearing your encouragement I'm going to try again.
I am doing this for you, Amber Lynae! :P Thx for the challenge! Awesome.
'kay Amber Lynae told me about this and I'm going to give it a great effort. I just started writing about a month ago -thinking I'd have TONS of time in the summer to write, and as it turns out I'm crazy busy with my 3 kids (hubby works in the day and goes to school at night).
However I've been using this as an excuse so it'll be nice to have goal to shoot for too. Sounds fun!
Good luck everyone.
Alright, well, 2 of my 3 writing group peeps (Debbie and Meagan) & a blogging friend (Amber) are doing this so I guess I better through on in!
AH!
Does rewriting count? I'm on chapter 3 of my wip with major revisions in store. Let me know.
LOVE this idea! Thanks for sharing (and getting me moving on that novel idea I've had for years)!
I'm twittering everyday about 50k in 50 days. Perhaps we should have a hashtag for it. Do you twitter?
I wasn't going to do this when I first saw your post but 2 days into it - I'm down for the cause! This is going to be fun!
I'm jumping in now, only because I have a new WIP that has about 6000 words. I need to get it done, and I think I can handle 1000 words a day. I think. ACK!
This is just what I needed to get my creative juices flowing again! Count me in.
