MOCKINGJAY! (post your review)

Today is the day! I've been waiting all summer--no, all year--for today. It's officially August 24th so that means Mockingjay is officially released today...

Mocking Jay by Suzanne Collins
Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she’s made it out of the bloody arena alive, she’s still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. Who do they think should pay for the unrest? Katniss. And what’s worse, President Snow has made it clear that no one else is safe either. Not Katniss’s family, not her friends, not the people of District 12. Powerful and haunting, this thrilling final installment of Suzanne Collins’s groundbreaking The Hunger Games trilogy promises to be one of the most talked about books of the year.

OMG. Not since Harry Potter 7 have I been this excited for the release of a book. I didn't order Mockingjay off Amazon because I wanted to have it in my hands TODAY. So that's where I will be: out buying my very own copy and then dead-to-the-world--in bed--reading it for the rest of the day. Is it crazy that I'm actually a little scared to read it? What if Katniss doesn't end up with Peeta like I want? What if she chooses him and then Peeta dies and then she's forced to be with Gale? Ah!!! The not knowing is killing me!

Okay. So I know after today there are going to be TONS of reviews for Mockingjay being posted. AND I WANT TO READ THEM ALL!!! I'm so excited. So please, if you read and review Mockingjay, please post a link to your review below. Also, I want to remind everyone that Suzanne Collins is strongly urging everyone not to give away any spoilers in their reviews. Which--just that fact that she's urged people not to give away the ending--must mean that ending is some kind of super-huge, never-see-it-coming twist. I better go and read it now before my head explodes from thinking on this one too much...Happy Reading Everyone!!!

I think that posting spoilers is pretty rude... In my review I gave away stuff about the first two books, so I included a spoiler warning... But, really? Why ruin a book for someone who just wants to know if it's worth the read?!?

Hi! I will be reviewing Mockingjay on my site over the next day or so. I too went out and bought a copy today just to come home and find a review copy sitting in the door from scholastic! Anyway, I have a contest ending today on my site for an ARC of The Scorch Trials(including review) by James Dashner and as soon as it's done, Ill put up Mockingjay. Who knows, maybe a little birdie at scholastic can give me a few copies to gie away??? my site is:

I won't be reviewing this one, but I loved it. I'm glad you set up a McLinky. I want to hop around and read everyone's reviews too.

I totally agree with you! It ended the way I wanted it to (kind of, minus all the sad stuff), and there is still a huge gaping hole where my heart used to be :(

So, it infuriates me when I look back over old posts and see negative comments I missed so long ago! I never even got the change to defend myself on my own blog!

To librarina, not that you will ever read this I'm just venting for my own sake, ouch! There are no spoilers in my post! This is what I said:

What if Katniss doesn't end up with Peeta like I want? What if she chooses him and then Peeta dies and then she's forced to be with Gale?

These were only random predictions, guesses, and obviously not quite accurate. If you would've read the book on the day I posted this post (impossible since no one had) you would understand that. I don't do spoilers on my blog and if I do I warn people.
And alluding that it gives something away from the first two book?!? Um, as if. I think with all the team Peeta/ team Gale stuff, readers are already aware of the love triangle. I just voiced my favorite. No spoiler there.
