Book Review: I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU SOMEONE ELSE

Title: I Now Pronounce You Someone Else
Author: Erin McCahan
Rating: 4/5
Good if...you are into Chick Lit

Summary:
Here Comes the Bride -- If She Can Pass Chemistry. Eighteen-year-old Bronwen Oliver has a secret: She's really Phoebe, the lost daughter of the loving Lilywhite family. That's the only way to explain her image-obsessed mother; a kind but distant stepfather; and a brother with a small personality complex. Bronwen knows she must have been switched at birth, and she can't wait to get away from her "family" for good. Then she meets Jared Sondervan. He's sweet, funny, everything she wants -- and he has the family Bronwen has always wanted too. She falls head over heels in love, and when he proposes marriage, she joyfully accepts. But is Jared truly what she needs? And if he's not, she has to ask: What would Phoebe Lilywhite do?

My Thoughts...
I really really liked this one.  And I'm not just saying that because I'm part of the book tour for it...I seriously did and I seriously suggest reading this one.  The writing was fresh, easy to read, and with just the right amount of details.  The characters were easy to love, flaws and all.  The romance was very cute.  And it produced one hell of a heart stopping moment there towards the end.  But this book was way different than your typical YA novels.  I like to think of YA as being broken down into two categories: paranormal YA and high school drama YA (which is basically any kind of YA that doesn't involve some kind of paranormal creature in it).  But this novel didn't really fit into either category.  It was Chick Lit, a young Chick Lit but Chick Lit none the less.  I guess I just want readers to know that going in.  And now that you know...if you're into Chick Lit at all or that second category of YA (the high school drama kind) then you'll probably really like this one.

Ooh! I actually want to read this, and it's interesting that it's a YA chick lit! Can't wait!

Nice review. =)

It looks cheesy but if you say it is good... well it must be! I am often judge things immediately and didn't think this would be worth it but I'm adding it!

I agree with you Swimmer. I may not have read it had I not been on the tour. Actually, I never would have. It was pretty good---worth reading at least.

I saw this one at the store but just wasn't sure about it, I picked it up for the cover. Thanks for reviewing it; a sort-of combination between ChickLit and YA... I'm intrigued. Definitely going to check this one out!
