In My Mailbox #18

This is "In my mailbox" a meme run by Kristi at The Story Siren. Here's what I got from the library this week...

Incarceron by Catherine Fisher
Incarceron is a prison so vast that it contains not only cells, but also metal forests, dilapidated cities, and vast wilderness. Finn, a seventeen-year-old prisoner, has no memory of his childhood and is sure that he came from Outside Incarceron. Very few prisoners believe that there is an Outside, however, which makes escape seems impossible.  And then Finn finds a crystal key that allows him to communicate with a girl named Claudia. She claims to live Outside—she is the daughter of the Warden of Incarceron, and doomed to an arranged marriage. Finn is determined to escape the prison and Claudia believes she can help him. But they don’t realize that there is more to Incarceron than meets the eye, and escape will take their greatest courage and cost more than they know. Because Incarceron is alive.

I don't know if I really completely want to read this.  I checked it out.  It has high ratings on Amazon.  But what do you all think?  If you've read it let me know if it was good...

The concept sounds good, but reminds me of the Hunger Games in a way...probably because I just read it recently.

I read it and loved it! I so recommend it if you're a fantasy fan. Plus, the sequel is coming out soon!

I've read both Incarceron and the sequel, Sapphique, both of which were excellent. I've never read anything like them before, the world Catherine Fisher describes is just amazing there are so many plot twists and turns.

Hope you enjoy, Romy :)

I haven't read this one, but I keep seeing it wherever I go. I always pick it up but put it back down again. Eventually I'll have to read it, though. Maybe get it from the library or something. Let us know what you think!

I hope you like it!

This one just doesn't appeal to me much. I think I'm getting burned out on dystopias. My mailboxes are here and here. Happy reading!
