In My Mailbox #28

'In my mailbox' is run by Kristi at The Story Siren. It's a way to showcase any new books (borrowed or bought) that you got in the past week. Here's what I got:
FIRELIGHT by Sophie Jordan (AMAZON)
UNEARTHLY by Cynthia Hand (AMAZON | MY REVIEW)
BALLAD by Maggie Steifvater (AMAZON | MY REVIEW)
VAMPIRE BEACH by Alex Duval (AMAZON)
GONE by Lisa McMann (AMAZON)
NEED by Carrie Jones (AMAZON | MY REVIEW)
CAPTIVATE by Carrie Jones (AMAZON | MY REVIEW)

I got all these books today for $18!!!  It feels like Christmas.  And if I could have carried more, I would have gotten more.  How?  The Borders near my husband's work in D.C. is closing.  80% off!  And since it's in a buisness area/the teen section is the basement, the YA books were vertually un-touched.  I recommend you go if you're in the area.  Great deals.  Also, anyone ever read VAMPIRE BEACH?  That one was kind of a long shot, but we'll see.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Need and Captivate. K, they're pretty predictable but oh well. And I own Firelight but I haven't read it yet.

Loved Need and Captivate too!! I wasn't as crazy about Entice, but I still liked it a lot because I like Astley!

This makes me want to make one last trip to my Borders, except the Teen Area will most likely be picked over by now.

I also have a habit of buying books I know nothing about. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Happy reading!

Way to go on the awesome book deal! Too bad it had to be because the store was closing. :( I just scored a bunch of great finds from an independent book store that closed in my area.

No way!! That's insane. I'm really jealous! I'm glad the Borders near me isn't going out of business, bu I'm sad that I'm missing out on the great deals.

I've read Need, and really liked it. Carie Jones' writing is unique and quirky. I still need to read the next two.
