Good if...you want something dark, dangerous, romantic
The recent Strigoi attack at St. Vladimir’s Academy was the deadliest ever in the school’s history, claiming the lives of Moroi students, teachers, and guardians alike. My thoughts...If you're unfamiliar with this series then I highly recommend you get familiar. Whether you're over vampires by this point or not, either way it's a funny, romantic, mysterious, intriguing series. I've been hooked from the start. Book 4 wasn't as good as book 3, but it was still just as good as the first two in the series. All your favorite characters were back--plus some new--and I mostly enjoyed seeing how becoming a Strigoi effect Dimitri. And so now I'm on to book 5...

I agree about Blood Promise wasn't as good as Shadow Kiss but I liked that Rose got to meet Dimitri's family and see what life for non guardian dhampirs is like.
I know, I know that I need to start reading this series. I plan to. I enjoyed your take.
