Wannbe Writers #58

Wannabe Writers is my Internet writing group. Basically, my posts are about my current writing progress, my problems, and any questions I need help answering. If you've created a similar post of your own lately, feel free to link in the comments.

Where I am in the writing process: Unpublished! So, I've decided to continue speed writing through my ELIXIR...  That's the plan.  But I'm still at 50K.

My current problem(s): Work.  I'm a flight attandent so when I work it's for big chunks then I get big chunks off.  And so I'm working all this week, then going to vacation for a week, then working another week.  It won't be August until I truly get time to write.  :(  Sure, I could try to write on layovers, but I'm too tired to be creative.  Anyway, so I haven't written much lately.

My question(s) this week:  How do you juggle work and writing?

It's always a struggle to balance work and writing. Sometimes I just write whenever the mood strikes me and ignore my work... Though my type of work is college homework and yours in actual job so I don't think you could do the same. I think the best/only option is to just write whenever you can, and you never know... even if you're tired, maybe you'll still write something that inspires you later on. Or maybe it'll get the creative juices flowing for when you do have time.

I always thought it would be fun to be a flight attendant but I'm not cheerful enough. The traveling would be fun, though. Work is always getting in the way of everything. Good luck!
