Waiting on Wednesday

"Waiting on Wednesday" is a meme hosted by Jill at http://breakingthespine.blogspot.com/

Just released is the new cover to Entice and now I'm dying to read it!!!
Entice by Carrie Jones
Zara and Nick are soul mates, meant to be together forever. But that’s not quite how things have worked out. For starters, well, Nick is dead. Supposedly, he’s been taken to a mythic place for warriors known as Valhalla, so Zara and her friends might be able to get him back. But it’s taking time, and meanwhile a group of evil pixies is devastating Bedford, with more teens going missing every day. An all-out war seems imminent, and the good guys need all the warriors they can find. But how to get to Valhalla? And even if Zara and her friends discover the way, there’s that other small problem: Zara’s been pixie kissed. When she finds Nick, will he even want to go with her? Especially since she hasn’t just turned… She’s Astley’s queen.
Release Date: December 7th

And of course--like duh!--Mockingjay comes out this week. And not since the 7th Harry Potter book have I been this excited for the release of a novel.
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she’s made it out of the bloody arena alive, she’s still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. Who do they think should pay for the unrest? Katniss. And what’s worse, President Snow has made it clear that no one else is safe either. Not Katniss’s family, not her friends, not the people of District 12. Powerful and haunting, this thrilling final installment of Suzanne Collins’s groundbreaking The Hunger Games trilogy promises to be one of the most talked about books of the year.
Release Date: August 24

And next is Paranormalcy. I'm so excited about this one I already pre-ordered it. Reviews are starting to pop up online and I haven't seen one lower than 5/5!
Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours. But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures. So much for normal.

Paranormalcy I'm really looking forward to, I've heard lots of good things. I've never read Need/Captivate, but Mockingjay! I'm scared as well what's going to happen...I'm Team Peeta and if he dies I'm going to cry. A lot :P.

Liz R.--!!! That's exactly why I'm afraid to read Mockingjay. I'm Team Peeta and if he dies I probably will cry too. It was like that in Harry Potter. I was so sure he was going to die at the end. But he didn't so I have hope for Mockingjay.

I haven't read The Hunger Games yet, but I just bought it, so I'll eventually get to Mockingjay. I'm curious about Paranormalcy. I'll try to check this one out too. So many books, so little time.

I'm so excited for Mockingjay I can barely even stand it! I've heard good things about the Carrie Jones series as well, so I think that needs to get added to my list! Great choices:)

I'm looking forward to all of them! I love how all the books in the Need series match so well... I enjoyed Need, yet to read Captivate though.

Omigosh, thanks for pointing out Entice! I didn't love Need, but I did like Captivate, and wow is this an enticing cover. (That was cheesy and I had to type it.)

I'm eagerly waiting for Mockingjay and Paranormalcy, too :) Great picks!

Thanks for your comment! Yeah, after all the hype surrounding Beautiful Creatures I was really surprised to find I was having such difficulty getting through it. Read your review of it and totally agree that it felt like they were throwing everything they thought should be in a YA fantasy in there and hoping for the best! I'm not surprised you gave up on it, I really had to push myself to finish.
